What are the main differences between the two films and are there any similarities?

Both Guardians of the Galaxy and Honey Trap are both two extremely different movies. Honey trap is based on a real life situation, which is likely to touch hearts due to the story line. And Guardians of the Galaxy is just a movie which has been put out there for entertainment.

Guardians of the Galaxy are about a young guy that was abducted from Earth by the Revengers – group of space pirates. The man finds himself in the middle of some sort of conflict. Both Rocket Raccoon, Drax the Destroyer and Gamra all bring the fight to Ronan Accoster for their own varied personal reasons. They began filming at Shepperton studios. The producers of this movie is Kevin Feige, the director is , James Gunn.

The budget was $170 million.  The film runs for 122 minutes. People which are starring are: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Baustista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace , Michael Rooker , Karen Gillan , Djimon Hounsou , John C. Reilly, Glenn Close , and Benicio del Toro. The fact a lot of well-known actors took part in the film would help the film to become a lot more popular and viewed by people worldwide.

The Guardians of the Galaxy was released on August the 1st 2014 in the United States of America. Expectations for this movie were very high due to the synergy between two major platforms – Walt Disney studios and Marvel studios. Honey Trap is about a young girl named Layla being picked out of the crowd by a eighteen year old rapper name troy. She is swept into romance and that brings popularity, status and sexual awakening, until troy then makes the decision to discard her – she then looses everything. The young girl Layla then changes herself by rebuilding herself in Troy’s image – heartless, hardened player. Despite her just using Troy she then finds her first true friend – Shaun. To sum everything up Layla is forced to choose between the two boys- desire and friendship, between power and connection to another human being. The director of this film is Rebecca Johnson. It’s been stated that they have used locals from Brixton to both cast and record Honey Trap. Honey trap is a low budget film the budget was under £1 million, which was funded through donations. One donation, which they secured twenty thousand pounds from the Walcott Foundation.  They have Dave Raedeker working along side with them as the director of photography who won the best cinematography award at the Sundance film Festival 2012. The music in Honey Trap was produced with a company like “Bucks music Group.”

The movie Honey trap is targeted to people of the age of 25+ (urban adults) and also young people aged 16-15 of both genders, which can relate to the story. The movie could guildline them in a positive way.

They looked at possible promotions with Whatsapp, Blackberry Messenger and other free messaging and networking audience used heavily by young people target and urban music blogs and magazines. Lastly Honey Trap is a real life issue whereas The Guardians of the Galaxy isn’t. So Honey Trap more focuses on triggering emotions from people, which are watching it or going through specific circumstances. Also with Honey trap they employ people from the local area – Brixton.
