Both Guardians of the Galaxy and Honey Trap are both two
extremely different movies. Honey trap is based on a real life situation, which
is likely to touch hearts due to the story line. And Guardians of the Galaxy is
just a movie which has been put out there for entertainment.
Guardians of the Galaxy are about a young guy that was
abducted from Earth by the Revengers – group of space pirates. The man finds
himself in the middle of some sort of conflict. Both Rocket Raccoon, Drax the
Destroyer and Gamra all bring the fight to Ronan Accoster for their own varied
personal reasons. They began filming at Shepperton studios. The producers of
this movie is Kevin Feige, the director is , James Gunn.
The budget was $170 million.
The film runs for 122 minutes. People which are starring are: Chris Pratt,
Zoe Saldana, Dave Baustista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace , Michael
Rooker , Karen Gillan , Djimon Hounsou , John C. Reilly, Glenn Close , and
Benicio del Toro. The fact a lot of well-known actors took part in the film
would help the film to become a lot more popular and viewed by people worldwide.
The Guardians of the Galaxy was released on August the 1st
2014 in the United States of America. Expectations for this movie were very
high due to the synergy between two major platforms – Walt Disney studios and
Marvel studios. The film was released widely across the globe and was released
in countries e.g. United Kingdom as well as United States. It was released in
4,080 theatres in America. It was also distributed 2D however it was massively distributed
as a 3D film in cinemas.
Furthermore they are also planning to release a digital
download in November 2014 and is still scheduled for release on Blu-ray 3D and
DVD. With the Guardians of The Galaxy
their techniques of marketing was through the use of social media: Public
Facebook Page and a Twitter page for their movie. Secondly they also marketing the film by
making a video game / app for smartphones and tablets, That’s a very smart idea
due to technology being a huge part of peoples lives.
Honey Trap is about a young girl named Layla being picked
out of the crowd by a eighteen year old rapper name troy. She is swept into
romance and that brings popularity, status and sexual awakening, until troy
then makes the decision to discard her – she then looses everything. The young
girl Layla then changes herself by rebuilding herself in Troy’s image –
heartless, hardened player. Despite her just using Troy she then finds her
first true friend – Shaun. To sum everything up Layla is forced to choose
between the two boys- desire and friendship, between power and connection to
another human being. The director of this film is Rebecca Johnson. It’s been
stated that they have used locals from Brixton to both cast and record Honey
Trap. Honey trap is a low budget film the budget was under £1 million, which
was funded through donations. One donation, which they secured twenty thousand
pounds from the Walcott Foundation. They
have Dave Raedeker working along side with them as the director of photography
who won the best cinematography award at the Sundance film Festival 2012. The
music in Honey Trap was produced with a company like “Bucks music Group.”
The movie Honey trap is targeted to people of the age of 25+
(urban adults) and also young people aged 16-15 of both genders, which can
relate to the story. The movie could guildline them in a positive way.
They created a profile and started to develop
a fan base for Honey Trap. They
also engage with networks, which tends to focus on young people. They
looked at possible promotions with Whatsapp, Blackberry Messenger and other
